San Jose, October 2023 – Nestled in the heart of Silicon Valley, the University of San Jose (USJ) is celebrating its eighth anniversary this year. By tradition, the first Saturday of October is USJ’s Founders’ Day (which is October 7th this year), celebrating the establishment of the university in October 2015.
Since its inception, USJ has been making steady progress, forging ties with the education community and delivering quality education for students.
Having received approval by California’s Bureau of Private Postsecondary Education (BPPE) in 2021, USJ offers a Master of Science in Computer Science (MSCS) and a Master of Business Administration (MBA) programs to a diverse student body.
USJ is also an official training provider for the American Red Cross since 2022, providing First Aid/CPR/AED and BLS training to over 1,000 students, who were awarded the Red Cross Certified CPR First Responder credentials.
In 2023, in collaboration with Gosvea, USJ established the ICCPRA (International Community CPR Alliance) Academy, offering ICCPRA training courses to students and the community.
USJ is an official certifying organization for President’s Volunteer Service Award.
USJ’s faculty are from innovative companies and universities in the Silicon Valley. The university also encourages students to be enterprising and innovative. Collaborating with Silicon Valley’s innovative organizations, the school operates a business incubation program, assisting students in integrating their education, career, and entrepreneurship.
USJ’s motto is “Freedom through truth for service.” On this special Founders’ Day, we wish to celebrate with all our alumni, faculty, staff, and current students, and look forward to a greater future.
